On The Aids Riding
Academy
Tina is a life long rider with experience in a variety of
equestrian disciplines. Since the age of five she was a
student of Wilma Tate at her equestrian school in
Perris, California. It was under Wilma's tutelage that
she learned the being the best is a function of the
excellence we bring to ourselves and our horses.

Now her passion is dressage. She spent several years
in professional training; she travels extensively to
clinics, forums and symposiums to gain knowledge to
bring home to her students and horses.

She is an advocate of the Training Scale, the format
and foundation of the dressage system. The emphasis
is on creating a willing partner by developing the horse
systematically while maintaining a relaxed and happy
attitude.

Horses communicate
largely through body
language.
Under saddle
we use our
seat, legs and hands
as communication aids
.
When a horse is attentive
and responsive to our signals
they are said to be “on the aids”.
Our program embraces
the philosophy that horses
are willing partners; through
education in horse psychology, proper management and riders position we can
achieve our goals with our partners. We strive to work with each riders potential
and are ever mindful of our horses abilities as well.
